Campaign to Find-a-Friend for the Ouachita Trail

During the holiday season I asked you to make your lists and check them twice to think of family, friends, and organizations you can refer for membership in FoOT during the New Year.  I reminded you that there are several ways to become a member - adopt a section of the Ouachita National Recreation Trail, donate time in other ways (maintenance and administrative), and/or donate funds.  As an active member of FoOT, I’m hoping you made membership recruitment one of your New Year resolutions!

Finding Friends will not only support FoOT's mission to maintain and enhance the OT but will also earn for you special Thank You Points from FoOT.  The Board of Directors has approved this program whereby those who recruit others during this year will compete for various awards.   The campaign will end with our annual membership meeting in November where the awards will be announced. 

Our membership campaign to Find-a-Friend is well underway and the competition has begun with four members already recruiting others.

One Thank You Point will be earned for each member recruited.  Everyone recruiting someone will receive a Reward (details on this level reward will be sent later with a campaign update).  The Grand Prize for the most recruits will be two nights at the Queen Wilhelmina Lodge.  Second prize is a $100 gift certificate from REI and third prize is a REI $50 gift certificate.

You can always view the Available Adoptions on our website http://www.friendsot.org/how_to_help.  I look forward to writing up many adoption agreements in the months ahead and I know Glenn, our Treasurer, will be delighted to make regular trips to the bank with donation deposits!
